Regional Center Services

The California Regional Centers that Behavior Frontiers currently vendors within the Los Angeles area are Harbor Regional Center, South Central Los Angeles Regional Center, and Westside Regional Center.  The California Regional Centers are nonprofit private corporations that contract with the California Department of Developmental Services to provide or coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.

School District Services

Behavior Frontiers is also certified by the California Department of Education as a nonpublic agency to provide behavior intervention design (BID) and behavior intervention implementation (BII) to school-aged children with autism and other special needs. A BID staff member is essentially the behavior supervisor who assesses the student’s behavioral needs and who designs a behavior intervention plan for the student. A BII staff member is the equivalent of a behavior instructor who works one-to-one with the student to carry-out the behavior intervention plan. Both staff members are essential for a student to receive effective ABA services.

Insurance Company Services

Behavior Frontiers is an in-network provider for certain insurance companies in California, including TRIWest health insurance for military families. Please contact us at 310-938-4190 to see if we are an in-network provider for your child’s health plan.  We are open to pursuing contracts with additional insurance companies to meet our client’s needs. On October 9, 2011, SB946 became law requiring most health care service plan contracts and health insurance policies to provide coverage for behavioral health treatment for pervasive developmental disorder or autism.  Families wishing to obtain ABA treatment for their child with autism through their health insurance plan can learn more at the Autism Health Insurance Project: Autism Health Insurance Project.
