Behavior Frontiers offers exceptional behavior intervention services to Austin and surrounding areas in Texas. We are NOW ACCEPTING new clients with autism or other special needs into our applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment programs. Our comprehensive treatment program is conducted in the child’s natural setting, such as his/her home, school, or community. Our highly-trained team of behavior supervisors and instructors work together with family members and other professionals to target the reduction of problem behaviors and the improvement of a variety of age-appropriate skills, such as socialization and communication. Training Center: Families located out of our service area can also receive our online ABA training for parents and professionals through Behavior Frontiers Online Training Center.

Texas Insurance Laws

In 2007, House Bill 1919 was passed and it took effect on January 1, 2008. In 2009, House Bill 451 was passed and it took effect on January 1, 2010.

The Texas Autism Insurance Act requires a health insurance plan to provide coverage to children under the age of 10, who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, for all generally recognized services (including ABA) prescribed in relation to autism spectrum disorder by the child’s primary care physician in a treatment plan recognized by that physician.

We are also in the process of finalizing contracts with additional health plans. Please contact us if you do not see your health plan listed so that we can discuss your options.

Ayssa Altahif, M.A., BCBA
Assistant Clinical Director, Austin Region

Ayssa Altahif received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Western Michigan University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley. She completed her BCBA course work through the University of North Texas. She has over 5 years of experience working in the field of ABA and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2015. Ayssa has experience proving ABA services to children and adolescents in the home, school and community settings.Ayssa is dedicated to working together with families to develop individualized programming that teaches functional skills and improves quality of life.
