We also require employees and clients to cancel sessions if they exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19, as well as provide detailed protocols for clients and employees who have tested positive for COVID-19. We believe that these safety procedures have helped to reduce the risks of exposure in providing ABA services.

Step into one of our autism treatment centers, and you will immediately notice one thing: they were designed with children first. With toys, games, musical instruments, activity centers, and more, it’s a children’s paradise. But just below the surface, and baked into every activity is something greater – Behavior Frontiers’ award-winning Applied Behavior Analysis treatment.

Whether your child receives services in a center or at home, the goal remains the same: to expand your child’s skills in areas of need by focusing on their strengths, by creating a positive environment in which your child can grow and thrive, and by teaching and rewarding the behaviors we want to see more of!

Detroit Clinical Leadership

Gabrielle DePaul, M.A., BCBA, LBA

Clinical Director - Detroit Center

Gabby DePaul began her ABA journey in 2014 as a behavior technician which made a lasting impact on her career path. Gabby decided to pursue her career in behavior analysis after diving into the field and becoming a supervisor managing cases one year later. Gabby graduated with her master’s degree in Professional Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology and became a BCBA in 2021. She joined the wonderful Detroit team in July 2022, after having spent the previous eight years of her career in the ABA field in Southern California. Gabby is passionate about our science’s growth and development and is actively involved in consuming literature and research, attending conferences, and disseminating our science and takes a special interest in clinical integrity, training, and mentorship.

Gabby’s experience extends to working with clients in early intervention all the way through young adulthood and with a variety of diagnoses. Her experience with developmental disabilities includes autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and various chromosomal disorders. In her clinical work, a focus is placed on the coordination of care amongst each client’s multidisciplinary team to work together and provide the best care possible. Gabby lives by a mantra that her ABA hero, Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz, would say, “Start every day by saying, ‘Let’s make a difference in people’s lives!’”

Ian McGarvey, MA, BCBA

Clinical Director – Dearborn Center

Ian McGarvey has been working in the field of ABA since 2011, starting as a behavior technician. Ian had intended on returning to graduate school for sport psychology but fell in love with working in the field both for the science and the clients. Ian graduated with his master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University in May of 2013, and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the same month. Ian joined the Michigan Behavior Frontiers team in September 2023. Prior to Behavior Frontiers, Ian worked with various populations, both in traditional ABA settings as well as in one-on-one consulting settings. Ian has also worked in a clinical director capacity for the last 6 years, coaching both practicum students and BCBAs to be successful supervisors.

Regarding clients, Ian’s passions include early functional communication training, trauma informed and compassionate care, and implementation of skills-based treatment and universal protocols. Ian also takes passion in coaching and mentoring other BCBAs. Ian’s philosophy when overseeing ABA services is that all services are client-centered and client-led. Ian’s favorite quote comes from B.F. Skinner and Ogden Lindsley: “The learner is always right.” Our behavior is a product of our environment, and we always have control to modify our environment to make sure our client’s and staff’s needs are met to grow!

Emma Rork, MA, BCBA, LBA

Clinical Director – Canton Center

I started my journey in the field of applied behavior analysis in 2011 where I began my training as an RBT in a multi-disciplinary center setting. During this time I attended Ball State University to obtain my master’s degree in special education with a focus in ABA. For the last 10 years, I’ve practiced as a BCBA, and led teams of clinicians, in the Southeastern Michigan market across home, center, and community-based settings.

My professional interests include reduction of high-intensity problem behavior, caregiver training and barriers to service. I believe that every child has a place, and there is always a helping hand to be given regardless of your individual circumstances! I enjoy working with families to analyze and break down barriers to help them access the highest quality, most appropriate care for their child. The most rewarding part of the work we do is seeing how ABA can help strengthen the whole family unit and provide families with the tools and knowledge to best support their child in everyday life.

Outside of work I enjoy being active and you may find me in the gym or see me running around to my kid's hockey and soccer games.
