Services will be provided through Microsoft Teams, which is a HIPAA compliant, synchronous platform. This allows the Behavior Technician or Supervisor to provide treatment services in a live, two-way interaction in real time. While providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) services via Telehealth, the treatment team will be able to provide immediate feedback and modify treatment protocols as necessary, just as they would if providing services in the client’s home.

What Hours are Telehealth Offered? How Long is a Telehealth Session?

Behavior Frontiers is proud to say that we offer our telehealth services on the same schedule that we have always offered our in-home services: availability for session time ranges from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. The length of the session is determined by the number of weekly hours of ABA therapy prescribed by your child’s primary care doctor or psychologist

HOW DO I RECEIVE TELEHEALTH SERVICES?

Signing up for telehealth services begins with a conversation with the Case Manager or Behavior Supervisor assigned to your case. They will talk to you about your child’s needs, your needs, and whether or not telehealth services would be a good fit for your child’s programming. From there, the Behavior Supervisor will complete a Telehealth screening checklist of the client, which will be used to determine if Telehealth is appropriate for each client, as well as how these services should be delivered.

The Behavior Supervisor will generate a parent report regarding the client by working with the client’s parent/legal guardian to determine: the client and family’s willingness to actively participate in telehealth sessions, the child’s ability to complete these sessions, if the client’s home provides the necessary environment, and if there are any special considerations (such as an interpreter) that need to be taken into account.

Will My Insurance Cover Telehealth Services?

As with all other services we offer, we will work with your insurance company to confirm that telehealth services are offered (and in what capacity) before we start. Most insurance carriers are now allowing for telehealth services to be provided, but we will always make sure first, to avoid any unwelcome surprises for you down the road!
