Behavior Frontiers offers exceptional behavior intervention services to Detroit/Novi and surrounding areas in Michigan. We are NOW ACCEPTING new clients with autism or other special needs into our applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment programs. Our comprehensive treatment program is conducted in the child’s natural setting, such as his/her home, school, or community. Our highly-trained team of behavior supervisors and instructors work together with family members and other professionals to target the reduction of problem behaviors and the improvement of a variety of age-appropriate skills, such as socialization and communication. Heather Hettinger, M.S., BCBA
Regional Clinical Director
Heather Hettinger received her Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus in Severe Emotional Disturbances from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. After four years as a Special Education teacher in a classroom setting, she chose to pursue further education in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). She completed her course work to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at the University of West Florida. Since moving to California, Heather has worked as a Behavior Therapist, Case Manager, and Clinical Supervisor working one-on-one with children with autism and with their families in the home, school, and community settings. Heather is trained in ABA using Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Verbal Behavior (VB), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), and Natural Environment Training (NET) methods. Heather has years of experience working directly with families, regional centers, schools, and insurance companies. Her skill set includes curriculum development, program design, ABA teaching techniques, assessments, and parent and staff training. Heather has dedicated her career to providing the best possible assistance to individuals with special needs.
Jaclyn Colvin, M.Ed., BCBA
Associate Clinical Director
Jaclyn Colvin graduated from The University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, with a Bachelors of Arts in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and a minor in Music in 2014. She earned her Master of Education in Educational Psychology and completed her Board Certified Behavior Analyst coursework at Wayne State University in 2017, then became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2018. She began working with individuals with disabilities 13 years ago and has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2013; working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum in the home, community and school settings. Jaclyn oversees the design and implementation of treatment programs for clients served in the greater Detroit, Michigan area. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized treatment programs for all clients, and fostering collaborative environments between clinicians and families.
