About Behavior Frontiers

Every Child with Autism Deserves a World Without Limits

This isn't just a tagline. It's the belief that started Behavior Frontiers in 2004 - and the belief that drives every single thing we do today.

Our Mission

We Exist to Change What's Possible for Children With Autism

1 in 31 children in the United States is diagnosed with autism. Yet despite growing awareness, too many families still face long waitlists and uncertainty about where to turn. At Behavior Frontiers, we exist to change that. Our mission is simple: to empower every child with autism to live their best lives through the highest quality autism care - and to invest equally in the clinicians who deliver it, through the highest quality training and supervision in the field.

Where it All Began

One BCBA. One Belief.
Two Decades of Impact.

In 2004, a single Board Certified Behavior Analyst named Helen Mader opened the doors to Behavior Frontiers with one conviction: children with autism deserved better. She had seen firsthand what was possible when the right support reached a child at the right time - children who found their voices, kids who made their first real friends, families who left with hope. She had also seen what happened when families couldn't access that support. The missed milestones. The lost time. She knew there had to be a better way - so she built it.

Two decades later, our team, our technology, and our reach have all grown - yet so much has also stayed the same: the science, our commitment - and the belief that every child with autism deserves a world without limits - well, that hasn't moved an inch.
From Our Founder

A Message From Helen Mader, Founder & CEO

Smiling woman in a light blue suit sitting cross-legged on a white couch in an office.
"I became a behavior analyst because I believed - and still believe - that every child with autism has the potential to learn, grow, and live a full life."

What I've witnessed with ABA over the years is nothing short of extraordinary. Children who couldn't speak, learning to ask for what they need. Children who struggled to connect, making their first friend. I built Behavior Frontiers because I knew what was possible. I built the software, PrioraCare, because our clinicians and families deserved better tools. And I show up every day because I know there are children out there waiting for the support that could change the entire trajectory of their lives.

Every child we serve is someone's whole world. We don't take that lightly - not for a single therapy session.

What We Believe

Family first

Every decision we make starts with: 'is this what's best for the family in front of us?' If the answer is no, we change course.

Evidence over opinion

We trust data, not fads. Our clinical methods are grounded in scientific research and refined by our own outcomes.

Progress at the child's pace

We don't measure success in hours billed. We measure it in milestones met - on the child's timeline, not anyone else's.

Tell the truth

We share what's working, what's hard, and what we don't know yet. With families, with doctors, and with each other.
Best Outcomes

Clinical Quality

Behavioral Health Center of Excellence badge showing accredited practice for 2026-2028 with three gold stars.

Behavior Frontiers is a BHCOE-Accredited Practice - a distinction earned through rigorous evaluation of clinical quality, staff expertise, and family satisfaction.

We are also proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 Places to Work in Healthcare, as well as the 2026 Handshake Early Talent Awards.

Inclusive Care, by Design

Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and understanding are embedded in how we train our staff and how we provide care. We're committed to nondiscrimination in our policies, our training, and our day-to-day practice — and we'll keep working to do this better.

In our training

Cultural competency, bias awareness, and inclusive care practices are part of how every clinician on our team is trained and supervised.

In our care

Treatment plans are built around the family — including language, cultural context, and community — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

In our hiring

We work to build a team that reflects the families we serve, with clear policies and accountability around hiring and advancement.

Have a cultural or language need we should know about?

Tell us before your first session — we'll match you with the right team.
