Summer Camp is Back at Behavior Frontiers: Fun, Friendship, and Foundational Growth

Summer Camp is Back at Behavior Frontiers: Fun, Friendship, and Foundational Growth — Behavior Frontiers

Behavior Frontiers’ 8-week summer program is back—exclusively for children ages 2 to 6 who are enrolled in ABA therapy at one of our centers. Starting mid-June, this enriching, ABA-based summer program blends purposeful fun with personalized developmental support and skill-building activities to help children grow across all key developmental areas—while having a whole lot of fun with peers.

Please note that this program is available only to children receiving services at a Behavior Frontiers center. If your child is currently receiving in-home services or has not yet enrolled with us, we invite you to contact us about transitioning to center-based care or enrolling in one of our state-of-the-art centers in time for summer.

A Unique Summer Experience Backed by Science

This isn’t your average summer camp. Our 8-week ABA-based program combines research-backed ABA therapy with playful, thematic experiences—led by trained professionals in a warm, inclusive environment where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.

Each week, campers participate in engaging group activities—from music and crafts to sensory play and movement games—carefully aligned with their developmental goals. With trained behavior technicians guiding every moment, your child will enjoy summer fun while developing important communication, social, and daily living skills.

This program runs for 8 consecutive weeks at your local Behavior Frontiers centers from June 16th to August 8th – click here to find a location near you.

Why Families Love Our ABA Summer Program

Our summer program brings an extra layer of excitement to your child’s ABA experience through imaginative weekly themes, playful group activities, and continued progress toward individualized goals and school-readiness skills.

Parents love that the program offers:

  • A fun, engaging atmosphere with new weekly adventures
  • Clear developmental goals rooted in ABA best practices
  • Opportunities to build social connections with peers
  • A balance of structured learning and creative expression

It’s a meaningful way to keep your child learning, connecting, and having fun all summer long, while also helping to build school-readiness skills for the fall.

What Your Child Will Gain

Our summer program is designed to help children prepare for group learning settings and navigate the world with confidence. ABA therapy builds lasting, functional skills while weekly summer themes help keep kids engaged and excited.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Communication & Language Development
  • We create natural, fun opportunities for children to practice speaking, requesting, and responding—during songs, crafts, story time, and games.
  • Following Directions & Group Learning
  • Through enjoyable group activities, kids with autism learn to follow instructions, transition between tasks, and stay engaged—laying a foundation for classroom readiness.
  • Social Confidence & Peer Connection
  • From singing together in a circle to cheering each other on during relay races, our program builds social skills in organic, comfortable ways.
  • Independence & Self-Care
  • Campers practice skills like toilet training, eating, cleaning up, and choosing activities—building confidence and autonomy through everyday moments.
  • Sensory Exploration & Regulation
  • Thoughtful sensory-based activities provide gentle sensory input while promoting emotional regulation.
  • Imaginative & Pretend Play
  • Themed weeks encourage imagination, flexible thinking, creativity, and storytelling—supporting cognitive development.
  • Movement & Coordination
  • From dancing to relay races, our program includes daily gross and fine motor activities that strengthen coordination and physical confidence.
  • Confidence in Progress
  • We celebrate every milestone, no matter how big or small—helping children feel proud, motivated, and supported as they try new things and grow.

School Readiness in a Joyful, Low-Pressure Setting

Starting school can feel like a big leap. Our summer program helps ease that transition by offering:

  • Practice with group routines and shared activities
  • Opportunities to follow classroom-like instructions
  • Confidence-building experiences with peers
  • Reinforcement of daily routines in a structured, playful way

Our behavior technicians use individualized ABA strategies to help children build the exact skills they’ll need in preschool or kindergarten within a fun and affirming summer setting.
