Virtual Field Trip: Autism Care Center in Plano, Texas

Located just north of Dallas, in Collin County, lies the city of Plano. Part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, Plano is a big city with a small-town feel. Since 2022, Plano has been the home of one of Behavior Frontiers’ newest autism care centers!

If you’re looking for autism care near Plano, our center is open and enrolling! It boasts over 6,600 square feet of space, including large playrooms and smaller, individual therapy rooms.  This state-of-the-art autism care center has 4 treatment rooms for one-on-one autism care sessions and several targeted playrooms.  We designed these rooms with vocational play, motor skills, and dramatic play in mind! This center also includes a dedicated library with a technology center.

The person entrusted with bringing ABA therapy to Plano is Clinical Director Erendira Morales.

Meet Our Behavior Frontiers Plano Clinical Director, Erendira Morales

Erendira Morales-Galias received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas (UNT) and minored in Behavior Analysis. Subsequently, she obtained her master’s degree in Behavior Analysis from UNT. She has a passion for basic and applied research and was a research fellow during her undergraduate and graduate career.

Erendira has worked with children of all ages and skill levels for over 12 years, including working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) since she joined Behavior Frontiers in 2016. Erendira has worked with children with ASD in a clinical environment, in-home, and in the community. Erendira is committed to ensuring her clients receive the best treatment using her education and experience to provide caring and compassionate treatment plans based on evidence-based practices. She is bilingual, providing services in Spanish and English.

In her free time Erendira likes to garden and has grown over 100 aloe vera plants. She loves propagating many species of plants. She enjoys swimming, golfing, and scrapbooking.

Erendira, who has lived in the Dallas area for the last 15 years, says that it’s a fun place to live, “You can find activities for any taste, age, and skill. Dallas has amazing zoos, a world-class aquarium, water parks, great food, parks for kids, and amazing shopping and entertainment.”

Erendira points out the Perot Museum and Vitruvian Park as some of her favorite places in the city.

The Plano-Dallas area is also a wonderful place for autism families.

“Dallas has many autism-friendly places,” Eren continues. “The Dallas Zoo and the Perot Museum offer sensory-friendly events. There are stores that cater for many sensory needs. Dallas has an inclusive community, and I have seen this firsthand while working with clients at Behavior Frontiers out in the community.”
