I'm Going Back to School - Social Story
As we have discussed previously on this blog, social stories are a wonderful way to help your child through unfamiliar situations by explaining what they can expect, what they might feel, and appropriate responses to these feelings. Stories can be tailored to your child’s needs and ability level.
As children transition back into the school year, they can be presented with a lot of new challenges. This year, importantly, a lot of children will be doing some sort of distance learning, and this is unfamiliar territory for many of them. With this in mind, we have prepared this social story to help with this transition. It covers learning time, sitting still, and playtimes: all things they may encounter in a day.
