I Can Wear A Mask - Social Story
As we have discussed previously on this blog, social stories are a wonderful way to help your child through unfamiliar situations by explaining what they can expect, what they might feel, and appropriate responses to these feelings. Stories can be tailored to your child’s needs and ability level.
We are all in a somewhat unfamiliar situation right now. These changes can be particularly stressful for children with special needs. With that in mind, we have prepared a social story that you can share with your children to help them adapt to wearing face masks. It covers when masks are needed, how they should be worn, and when they can be removed.
