On April 30th, to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month, Behavior Frontiers Autism Treatment Center in Rocklin, CA held a sensory-friendly carnival! For this event, we invited the entire local autism community to a day of fun and exploration at our Center. The children and their families enjoyed bounce houses, face painting, treasure hunting, and much more! Our newest Autism Treatment Center will be opening soon! Mark your calendars for our grand opening on April 24th, with more information coming soon. The new center, located at 1149 West 190th Street, Suite 2200 in Los Angeles, will continue to offer the individualized ABA programming that Behavior Frontiers is known for, while also creating additional opportunities to work on socialization and play skills. The center will offer more than 7200 square feet of space, including large playrooms and smaller, individual therapy rooms. These custom spaces will allow for treatment goals to be facilitated in a variety of settings. The areas include 20 individual treatment rooms, 9 socially distanced group treatment rooms (allowing for two children per space), and state of the art activity rooms, including gross motor, vocational, dramatic play, library with a technology center, and play therapy rooms. We are so pleased to announce that our Founder and CEO, Helen Mader (M.A.,BCBA), has been named as a Top Consumer HealthTech Executive of 2021 by The Healthcare Technology Report! Every parent or caregiver wants to feed their children a healthy diet. However, most parents are also familiar with the struggle of trying to introduce new foods to their picky eaters. For the parents of children with autism, that struggle is amplified. Children with autism may have issues with not only the taste, but the texture of many foods, which can make introducing new foods into their diet a challenge. But it is possible! We are pleased to announce that our Behavior Frontiers team now has access to a new employee benefit: DailyPay! DailyPay gives our staff more control over their money, with the ability to track earnings as soon as the hours have been worked, to access emergency funds before payday, and even to get paid every day if they want. DailyPay is controlled via an app on an employee’s phone, meaning that they can manage their money from wherever they are, without having to make contact with anyone at the company; how and when an employee gets their earned money is now completely up to them. On December 12th, we hosted local families, business leaders, and organizations, as well as our staff and their loved ones, as we celebrated our grand opening and ribbon cutting. There are many things that a parent must consider when seeking ABA treatment for their child. They have to find a provider that they and their child feel comfortable with. They might consider success rates of each company, or the amount of training that the company requires of its staff. However, one of the biggest considerations is location. We are so pleased to announce the grand opening of a new autism treatment center, serving the Detroit, MI area! This autism treatment center, which will begin providing services on December 6th, 2021, is a great option for families for whom in-home treatment isn’t an option. Our new center offers more than 6500 square feet of space, including large playrooms and smaller treatment rooms, where we can work with children on music, sensory, motor, vocational, and dramatic play. Our clients will also have access to an outdoor playground, gymnasium, game room, and cafeteria, to make sure they’re always having fun while still making progress on their treatment objectives! If you have ever thought that a career in ABA might be for you, but don’t like the idea of driving around to our clients’ homes, then we have a great opportunity available! We are urgently hiring for center-based Behavior Technicians in the Detroit and Sacramento areas. These techs will perform all of the same tasks as our in-home staff, and receive all of the same training, but will be based in one location.
